Hi, we had a beautiful sunset maple planted last year and it made it through our Alaska winter and is doing good. Im a little hesitant on how to fertilize this tree. I was told a 12-12-12 fertilizer would be fine but after reading the instructions on it, its very confusing as to how much to use and at the same time Im not sure I like the idea of using this as its a lawn fertilizer and we try to stay away from things that are chemical. Is there a store-bought fertilizer that is more organic that can be used to fertilize this tree with? If so, how much should be used and what product? Does Espoma carry something that would work for a sunset maple?
