HAVE: Fall Swap, September 13th...11am

18 years ago

If you feel like you just left the spring swap, you are not alone, and here it is time for the fall swap already. But I guess if we want to get our new treasures acclimated to their new homes, we best get at it.

September 13th

HeleninramseyÂs house

11:00

I will be hosting, for better or worse, I am really new at this, and do not know many of you yet, so forgive any inaccuracies. I live in Ramsey (obviously), not far from Anoka, close to Highway 10.

As is tradition, there will be a potluckÂI am a purist when it comes to potluck, it is luckÂbring what you like and I am sure someone else will like it as well. It seemed to work well to eat first and then swap, so that is what I will do here too.

Other things to remember to bring:

* Plants potted and labeled

*Seeds or bulbs, as it is that time of year

 Paper & pens ready (for notes on plants and for future trades when the plants get large enough to divide again)

 A box or wagon to put your new found treasures in

* Sharpie and labels

* Garden books to swap or share

* Pictures of your garden

* All your empty plastic garden pots

(Thanks Dave I just copied and pasted your list)

I would like to emphasize the PICTURES part! I, for one, would love to see your gardens, if you have some snaps or photo albums to share, I will have a place set aside to do that!

Please plan to take home any untraded plants (and uneaten foodÂ4 dozen leftover cookies  ie. 6000 weight watchers points-will not get eaten here and I hate to waste food)

I will start sending out emails with directions as soon as I get posts, as this is coming up really soon!

I have only one requestÂif there is someone who would like to volunteer to run the Ârounds I would love that. I am by nature very soft spoken and nobody ever hears me unless I yell at the top of my lungsÂI am not good at it.

Hope to see you all ÂHelen.
