Well, folks, we took a road trip to Wabasha yesterday and it was great!

Between Lake City and Wabasha we found several good vantage points. As far as we could count, we saw upwards of 75 bald eagles! Had to use binocs for many of the sightings, but the viewing was phenomenal. I even got to watch one swoop down and grab a large fish from the river! What a thrill that was!

We also saw about 7-8 wild turkeys, lots of ducks & geese and a great blue heron.

Next year I will go earlier, maybe January or February. I did take a few pix, but with a new digital camera that I am just figuring out, so I will try to post some later.
