In October I moved into a duplex in NE DC and now that Spring is here I am anxious to get my hands back in the dirt after a stint of condo living. I have purchased the hardware and lumber to construct raised beds around the house and in the small front and back yard. However, due to a bad back I do not relish the idea of purchasing bags or a truck load of dirt to fill in the new beds this month and mulch next month after I have done my planting. Can anyone suggest a company that will provide this type of service--obviously not a high end "we-do-everything" landscape firm or the truck dumps the dirt in your driveway (since I do not have a driveway) service? I would appreciate any suggestions you can provide!
