That's a tough one. I'm guessing lamium, or ajuga might stand up to small dogs or are talking large furry friends?

We are talking two poodles a miniature and a toy. For some unknown reason neither I or my neighbors can get ajuga to do much of anything.

Maybe creeping jenny.

I think I will start with that. I will fence off a small area to get it started and once it is growing take the fence away.
