Dark Colored Heuchera

How much sun can they take? I'm thinking like Palace Purple, Plum Pudding and the like.

I'm looking at planting them on the east side of my house, so it's possible they'd get sun from dawn to noon, or so.

It does have rock mulch in that area... a beige limestone.

Is this too much sun/heat for them?

I have some on the west side of my house so they get sun from noon on. They have been there 6 years and are doing just fine.

I have some on the southside that get afternoon shade from a river birch that is next to them. They do just fine and even benefit from the AM sun.

I also have some that get afternoon sun from noon on and they are just fine.

I have them thriving in full sun, full shade and some of each...Helen.

Years ago I thought that heuchera had to grow in shade. Then I visited a friend in CA with a hillside filled with different varieties of heuchera in full sun and they were beautiful.
