Greetings all - i am toying with the idea of hiring a landscape designer for an appx 6000 sq ft back yard. I use the term "designer" loosely. My plan is to do all the manual labor myself ( except for anything beyond my capabilities). Friends have suggested going to local nurseries who offer free or low cost designs if you purchase plants from them. ANy other suggestions? IF I must pay someone, I'd like to keep the cost in 100s not 1000s of dollars. I am open to names of speciifc imdividuals. I am not a good designer...
