Cecile Brunner Rose

Has anyone here successfully grown this rose? I see that it is listed on some sites as a zone 5 hardiness.

I have a small plant that I have grown in a pot from a cutting of my SIL's rose which I have overwintered in my unheated garage for three years. I am wanting to plant it in the ground. Will it survive our winters or do I need continue to bring it inside for the winter?

P.S. This is my only rose so I am a rose novice.
