Citrus Trees in Containers

Just wondering if anyone on this Forum is growing Citrus in containers? I see there is a Citrus forum in Garden Web, but looking for folks to compare notes with who live in Minnesota as I do, just outside Minneapolis.

I have a Bearss lime, Meyer lemon and Nagami kumquat. The lemon is a challenge for some reason. It mostly defoliates during the winter while the others don't. The other two have done great for 3 years.

I have the same problem with my Meyer Lemon. I thought it was just me!

My lemon does pretty well. It is the grapefruit that has been a struggle.

They are both very picky about watering.

I also found that they really like a cool house during the winter. I had the thermostat at 58F all winter and both trees are covered in the most new growth I've seen in the ten years that I've had them.
