Seeds

When should the seeds show up on Japanese Maples ? Where are they when they do appear? I have had a small maple for a few years now and I have never thought to look to see if it had seeds. I don't know what kind of tree this is but it is a really pretty color of deep red.

The seeds show up in late spring and continue to mature until fall. Some trees don't produce seeds until they are older. If you have a young tree it may not produce seeds. Some hybrid varieties are sterile and never produce seeds. The seeds have large wings and are usually hanging below the branches. They are easy to see.
