It's a very easy plant to grow. I plant it in the garden and it gets huge. It's also virtually carefree in ground. I feed it about 1x/mo. It won't survive our winter. I used to try keeping it potted in the greenhouse over the winter but it always got full of mealy bugs so now I just take a few cuttings in the fall and stick them in a glass of water. They are easy to root and I just plant them outside once it warms up. They always have a beautiful one in the butterfly exhibit at Brookside Nature Center. I've never been able to start it from seed. I don't know if my seeds haven't matured, are sterile or what, but since cuttings are so easy it's not an issue.
