Tomato and Trumpet Vine question

I grew a Brandywine tomato plant in a large pot on my deck last year and absolutely loved the taste, it reminded me of the tomatoes my dad grew when I was a kid, sweet, flavourful and juicy. A week or two ago I was moving the pot to a different spot on my deck, and noticed a small plant growing. Over the last two weeks I have been watching it and darned if it doesn't look like this Brandywine is growing again after being outside in the cold and snow all winter. I had put the plant against the house in a sheltered area , but it was out on the porch all winter, and leaves had blown in the pot too, so I watered it. Does anyone know, can a tomato plant survive the winter? Also one more question, last year was the first year my about 5 year old Trumpet vine flowered, does anyone know, now that it has flowered, will it flower every year?
