“I worked with Steve on a renovation design for my cabin. He is everything you want in a professional. He is responsive, takes time to understand and clarify your needs / goals, adaptable, has great ideas and his designs exceeded my expectations. I really appreciated his adaptability as this was a "design by consensus" (extended family) project and he was asked to produce four designs. He met some tight time frames and did great work for us. I would recommend his work to family and friends and plan to work with him on other projects.”

“Scott Borcherding of the Bergland & Cram firm of Mason City did the interior design restoration work on Frank Lloyd Wright's Park Inn Hotel. A citizens' group had the building restored; the firm won a major national historic preservation award last fall. The hotel is beautiful, reminiscent of FLW's Dana Thomas House in Springfield, Illinois--both are Prairie Style. The project involved the restoration of 62 stained glass windows and hotel rooms.”

They are upfront in the beginning with realistic expectations and pricing and follow through to match that in your build. Their quality is excellent and they have fantastic subcontractors who are willing to work with you, professional, and friendly at the same time. We built our home with Maplewood Homes 8 years ago and now are finishing our basement with them. Love, love, love the finished spaces. “This is the second remodel job Summit has done for us. We have gutted the master bedroom, bath and walk-in closet, plus our son's bathroom. The work is progressing smoothly. Their level of craftsmanship is beautiful and of very high quality. We are using handmade tiles and marbles, and beautiful woods for cabinets, floors and panelling. Monte and Leroy are some of the nicest and easiest contractors I have ever worked with. We built this house and have done 6 remodeling jobs over the last 30 years. The project is progressing in a very timely fashion. We should be completed in 5 more weeks. This has been a very enjoyable project and I highly recommend Summit Homes.”
