English Laurel

I recently planted an English Laurel next to my house to have some privacy. I had a huge overgrown Azalea that was unsightly. I was looking for something evergreen and full which would fill an area which is about 4 ft wide and guy at the garden center recommended it. I initially had a landscaper out to my house and she recommended I put in a hedge of them.

I just planted it two days ago and am now scared! I usually do a little research before I purchase, but this time I went with the opinion of the "experts".

I have read article after article about how invasive these plants are and so on. Every article I read seemed to be from someone the west coast.

Does anyone know if these plants are as invasive in this area? Should I return it?
