I came up from Chicago to visit people friends and plant Friends. I went to the sale on Sat after stopping at the St. Paul Farmer's Market. The shrubs I was interested in were sold out. A couple of the perennials I'd hoped for were sold out. That'll teach me to come on Sat! Compared to prior years, I thought there were many fewer missing because of crop failure. And even though I saw "sold out" a few times, I still managed to drop a small bundle. Between the Farmer's Market and Friends, the back of our pickup truck was fairly full.

I attended both the voluteer sale (Thursday) and the 1/2 price sale on Sunday. They were both wonderful! (It was my first year ever attending.)
I am sure that I will go again next year, and I think I will plan on the same for next year. It was nice to volunteer and be able to check out the layout of the sale. It was also nice to go to the volunteer sale. I would highly recommend going to that.
I would also go early to the Sunday 1/2 price sale. Make sure to get there ahead of when it opens and stand in line. I was surprised by how much was still there.
I came home both days with a car load of plants! :) Everything has been growing quite well!
I was pleasantly surprised with their selection of plants that I had never heard of.
It was overall a very fun experience!
