Never tried it-but a quick search came up with climbing roses, forsythia, rhododendron, honeysuckle, boxwood, azalea, and wax myrtle (simple layering), heart-leaf philodendron, pothos, wisteria, clematis, and grapes (compound layering), spirea, quince, daphne, magnolia, and cotoneaster (mound layering).

I have propagated wisteria, holly, magnolia, rhododendron kelveticum (am in the process of trying other rhodies), kerria, callicarpa, enkianthus, many roses, cotoneaster, willow, deutzia, hydrangeas, clematis, variegated snowberry and coralberry, wiegela, forsythia, purple leaved hazelnut (sorry, can't think of the proper names right now of some of those) by layering. Many of those (cotoneaster, magnolias, snowberries and coralberries, wisteria)do it without any help, the wisteria in particular could easily become rampant.

I've been hovering over a really lovely old dogwood for several years hoping we'd get it to take - it finally did this year!! I'm hoping to try clematis and jasmine soon as well. My mother (who lives in Florida) surprised me when I visited when she showed me her orange jasmine in process - I hadn't realized Mom was into that!
