I charge:

$4/lb for sweet bells
$9/lb for medium-hots like jalapenos

$0.50/piece for serranos

If I grew mini-bells, I'd probably charge $6/lb for them.

These are my market prices of course...yours will likely be lower. There is only one other pepper vendor at the market and his prices are the same as mine.

i charge $4/lb for sweet peppers. 25 cents each for hot peppers. little hot peppers.

We charge $3.00 lb for sweet peppers, 25 cents, 5 for $1 Jalapenos and 75 cents each for bell peppers or 3 for $2

Thanks guys. BJs charges 2$ a lb for the mini sweets so I might do 3 but I don't have that many. Mostly banana peppers. I might try $4 for hits since some jals are huge others not. I'll weigh the HH might charge 25 cents a piece for those

This year I simplified my pepper pricing b/c I have 15+ varieties on the table at any market. I either price individually ($1 each for bells, 3 for 2.50), ($.75 ea. for larger sweet tapered, 3 for $2) or by the pint (smaller types) or Qt.(larger types) - straight $2.00 per box with a sign that anyone can randomly mix 4 boxes, hot or sweet, and get a 5th box free. This $2/box universal pricing seems to eliminate confusion and even encourages larger purchases. I don't use a scale at market and never will.

Where I try to be a little discerning is in larger quantities. I made the mistake of selling 2 bushels of lunchbox peppers to a fellow vendor at $22 per bu., my regular price for banana (hot or sweet), Anaheim, pablano or other larger peppers, and now everyone wants a similar deal. I can't make out as well selling larger quantities at discount rates but the "Buy 4, get 1 FREE" deal is a keeper.
