Another random question.
Has anyone planted the Garlic Bulbils from the tops of garlic scapes and grown them for a green garlic, like a green onion?
I didn't cut all my scapes this year and let some of them grow. I harvested them (actually forgot that I did it) and I was wanting to plant them now (in the high tunnels) and harvest later this winter.
Not sure what to expect but I thought it would be neat if it worked out. Not out much $$ if it doesn't work.
Do you think I need to "Force" them to grow by throwing the bulbils in the freezer prior to planting?
