I don't know what you consider 'local', but Betty's Azalea Ranch in Fairfax has, well, lots of Azaleas. I don't know just how unusual they are, but do have a ton of named varieties.

Brookside Gardens has a couple plant sales every year and they usually have a good azalea selection. I don't know when the next sale will be or if there will be anymore this year but you might want to keep it in mind for next season.

Betty's nursery is definitely close enough. I found their web site and bookmarked it. I love Brookside Gardens. I did not know they sell plants though, thanks for this suggestion!
I am in the process of exchanging emails with Long Mountain Nursery in VA. They have more than 300 named Azalea varieties including all varieties I want. They are 80 miles away, so I can not visit them. If they will agree to ship them to me, the problem will be solved.
I think I'll visit Betty's Azalea Ranch anyway :-)
