My strawberries did well early, but then suffered from lack of water during the summer. I have a well with limited water, so I have to ration the water and the berries never got any. Recently they have been getting water and are doing well (however no runners this year). My patch is too wide, so I want to put a path down the middle. Any suggestions about how/when to transplant from the middle and move the plants to the edges of the patch (increasing the overall foot print of the patch).
