I've seen a few pics of this and it really looks like a great plant, especially since it has such prominent pink and white markings and supposedly appreciates shade... How is the variegation different in comparison to Orido Nishiki? It is not as sun tolerant, correct??? ... But, I've read that it is a very tender palmatum. Does anybody know how it will perform in z6? (I was also told that Toyama Nishiki was a "no go" here, but it has done well for 2 winters... and been fairly vigourous... though I know 2 years isn't a good hardiness test, bit it endured below 0F on several occassions last year) Thanks...
