Yes I have! It was couple of years ago though- I thought they were a bit expensive ( but I am sooo tight with cash- everything is spendy-) but WOW were those little plants healthy and roots that went on forever! There was great value in my purchases there! It is well worth the trip, in my opinion-

Oh- I do remember seeing many natives mixed in with other great stuff at Rice Creek also- the garden in the woods makes the trip worthwile even if you don't buy anything! Again- it's a bit pricey- but good value again with my purchases-

I've also been to Land. Alt. I thought their prices were quite reasonable, but I do wait for their sales! lol I recently found out they are moving to a different location, next month I think. They have very good quality plant material, I haven't lost a one, but that might be because they are natives too.

Oh, if anyone is a resident of Plymouth, the city organizes a native plant buy in the spring. Prices are below retail. Minimum order is 12 seedlings of each plant ordered. They also have ferns and shrubs that can be ordered in any quantity.

Try Rice Creek Gardens on Hwy 65 North of Blaine. They sell unique plants. They also sell natives like Lady Slipper. I haven't been there for a while but the last time I went it was worth the drive.

Hello-this message is for leaveswave and others-Landscape Alternatives has indeed moved (yesterday, July 30th, was their first day at their new site). They had a wonderful moving sale-nearly everything half off. Guess what? The sale continues to their new site (grand opening sale?). All 6 packs are half off, cultivated plants are more than 1/2 off, and everything is new, fresh, very healthy and they want a new home! Here's a map of their new site:

It's in a very pretty area of the St. Croix Valley, and there are apple orchards, state parks and other artsy stuff to hopefully encourage folks to come. I know of a place that sells native plants , it is: plants of the southwest.com. Not all of the plants are Native to Minnesota, but quite a few are. If you want a pretty and also easy native grass try Andropogon gerardi( Little Bluestem). In my opinion it is much prettier than any of the exotic grasses that they sell at gertens, linders or wherever. You can sometimes see it planted on the sides of highways such as 52 down by rosemount. Great fall colors!
