Researching the 'going rate'

...for garden help--just weeding.

Not really sure where to look or who to ask for a realistic idea of what to offer. Any tips of where/how to research this would be great. TIA

For a knowledgeable (read, not going to damage or pull your treasures with the weeds) all around garden helper- $30.00 an hour is not a bad price- $10 an hour for the neighbor kids.

I pay my boy Friday $8.00 an hr. but he is 14 years old so good pay for him.

I charge 15$ an hour auto pay of at least an hour.

What does "15$ an hour auto pay of at least an hour" mean--the 'auto pay' part has me confused.

the auto pay means that I get automatically paid for at least an hour, so if it takes 30 minutes to weed, lawn mow, rake etc than I get paid at least for an hour, 15$. It makes it so jobs are at least worth my while to attend. This is all coming from my side small maintenance and lawn care job that I have.
