I always use paper. The only time I use plastic bags is when I buy chicken. I've had it leak in my paper bags one too many times. Not much grosses me out but chicken juice does.

I have a question and maybe someone has an answer. I try to be environmentally friendly. I recycle nearly everything. I buy 'green' when it is an available option. But I do use plastic bags and I personally recycle nearly every one of them as doggie pooper picker uppers! Does anyone have an alternative option if I stop using plastic bags? I won't leave it lying in other peoples yards or on the street. What can I use instead?

Hi Jel48. I had the same problem but found some doggy poo bags that are biodegradable. Got mine at Target, maybe you can find them as well? Only concern is that most aren't sealed very well on the bottom, so be careful when scooping! (I like to use mine as dog water bags on our hikes as well as they don't require any extra space, but with the holes will need to bring something else for that.)
