Allow the pods to stay on the vine as long as you can. The longer they stay on the vine the more oppurtunity they have to mature. But be sure to harvest before first frost.

Once you harvest them, store them in paper envelopes in a cool, dry, dark closet. Be sure to write on the envelop the name of the seed and the date havested.

Moonvine seeds should be cream to yellow in color.

I live in MN zone 4 this is the first year I have annual white moon flowers. The seed pods are green size of a golf ball , prickly. The plant is dead from a light frost we had, can I harvest the seeds ?

I left some of the seed pods on the vine to finish drying and we had a couple of frosts. The seeds inside range in color from light tan to brown. Are they still viable?

flowersgalore1 What you describe sounds like datura stramonium (jimsonweed). Unless the pods are brown they will hold viable seed.
