Free for the taking....

I have two shrub roses that I haven't been taking care of (sorry). I would like to see them go to a good home in lieu of me pitching them in the dumpster that currently occupies our driveway.

I'm sorry I do not recall what kind they are and I'm almost certain I no longer have tags for them. One is pink, I believe it is sold as "wild". The other is red. They are both hardy to zone 2/3 so they do not need special winterizing.

I cannot keep up with the bugs these guys get...I just don't have the time for anything that isn't low-maintenance. I feel like a "bad mom" for saying that...but truly they would be much happier elsewhere.

Here's a pic from last year. They still pretty much look the same (I'm ashamed to admit).

Don't send them to me! With the exception of the William Baffin I got a couple of summers ago from Stpaulite, I am the serial killer of rose bushes! LOL Can't get them to live more than two seasons.

I am sure you'll find a home for them, Kristy! If not someone here, I have a friend that I am pretty sure would love them. Let me know what happens with them. Don't pitch 'em!

LOL Linda! I won't send them to you!! Joyce and I emailed back and forth a couple of times and I decided to give them one more try. Things have been unsettled here and I was hasty when I posted. I just hope she isn't too steamed at me for changing my mind!

Kristy, sorry I didn't get a response off to your last email. Of COURSE I'm not steamed at you for changing your mind! I'm glad you're going to give them another chance :-)
