Yeah, spring! I love to poke around the flower beds this time of year to see which perennials survived the winter. I'm starting to update my geeky spreadsheets to make sure that all plants are accounted for.. and to figure out where I have a gap to fill with NEW PLANTS! :-)

yikes .. how about that rain last night!! it is so warm today, but i can't even go out to 'look around' cuz our back yard looked like lake michigan last night .. hopefully, it will dry up a bit in the next couple of days ... i LOVE spring too ... phyl

do you w.s.? i did for the 1st time, no sprouts yet ...

I have a recycle built unheated greenhouse that I start seeds in. Have tomatoes, broccoli, cabbage, onion, cauliflower, and acouple of others I can't remember at the moment that have sprouted and growing well. If this weather keeps up, I'll have to transplant most of them. It just seems way to early for everything but I'm going with it. If we get a cool snap or frost then I'll deal with it. I'm on the Illinois side of St louis, so the weather has been really warm and even humid.
