New Hydrangea

Hi guys! I,m brand new to this board, so be gentle. I recently bought a new bareroot Hydrangea and planted it. It has been at least a week and nothing. No buds, nothing. Am I expecting too much too soon? It looks like a stick in the ground. How long before I should see some activity?

Mine isn't doing much either. I have a Pee-Gee hydrangea. It doesn't bloom until late July or early August. With the warm weather we've been having, yours should start showing some life soon. Btw, what's the name of yours? Where do you have it planted? I'm including a link that should help you with the care of yours. It's a great site.

My kind of girl, just skip the foreplay and get right to the action....

I have three kinds of hydrangea from last year, one is budding, the others are still dormant. More patience may be needed.

They usually start leafing out from the crown, then the leaves sprout up the canes as the season progresses. Good luck.
