I am very new to gardening. I need a small shrub to accent around our new deck. I am interested in the Magic Carpet Japanese Spirea, like the foliage/flowers, like that it attracts butterflies, but I am guessing that it will also attracts bees? Is that correct? If so, the deck is about 26" in height, would we be bothered by bees? If that will be a problem, can anyone suggest any other small shrub?
