My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
And what do they reply? "Look at me!" "common but ain't I purty?" "you can take all those fancy plants you want, but I'm just an old timey, reliable, not fussy plant and will do what you expect, rain or shine!" "Old friends just call me Honey, but I am also known as Miz Belle".
I never looked twice at my Honeybells until I saw your picture. One has the ruffled edges like yours and one is just plain. (That one is going next spring anyway). Now that you have opened my eyes, I now have a new regard for it's beauty and will never dismiss it again as just too common to fuss over. Mary
Paul, it's funny how we sometimes fail to notice the beauty of our "ordinary" hostas after we've gotten so many extraordinary ones. That is an incredible photo of an incredible plant. Nice job. Lois
That might be Undulata Erromena, which looks a lot like Honeybells. If it has lavender flowers that are not fragrant, that is probably what you have. I made that mistake several years ago when I first started collecting; I had scads of U. Erromena and was trying to identify it... Thought maybe I just wasn't smelling the scent. When I eventually found a real Honeybells in Flower I knew I was wrong about mine. Dave
