I think it is the wrong time of year for cuttings- but you could try it-
I have overwintered these indoors in pots- you might try that-
My neighbors double yellow did not set seed either... I wonder why both of your did not....

How hard was the freeze?

If it was only the leaves that burned and some of the stems are okay, you can try rooting those. I have rooted these from cuttings without leaves in the fall. If it is planted in the ground, you could try potting it up and bringing it inside. It may still sprout from the base or the roots.
