I prune my Annabelles in the spring- cut back to a strong bud about a third of the way down the cane. Love the dried flowers left on the shrub through the winter- sometimes I cut some of them off and put on my Christmas greenery in December.
Leave the rose for awhile to continue hardening off for winter. I start winter protection a week or two into November. The canes will have dieback on them from the winter so I don't cut those back until spring either. Aim for at least 18 inches of a soil mound if you can and then coarser mulch on top of that.

Sometimes... I don't even cut back my Anna Belle- most every branch breaks bud and leaves out nicely in the spring...
