I'm thinking of planting a garden in the area between my sidewalk and the street, also called a boulevard or hellstrip. Since I live in Central Ohio the plants need to be tolerant to the snow and salt pushed on them during the winter months. I was thinking of planting iceplant there, quick growing, nice flowers. Does anyone know if this would work or have any other suggestions? There is a small tree in the area so it's a sun/shade mix.
