Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos. You certainly succeeded with fall color. Next spring/summer you will be having fun adding fall bloomers to your new yard.

I am also enjoying blooms this late October. My clematis have been blooming most of the fall. One of my mystery clematis had a lovely wine-colored large bloom today. William Goodwin has been a delight with its pale frilly blue blossoms.

Bobbie, I guess I can't complain about fall color in the new place. While it lacks in perennials, it just glows with the autumn leaves on the Amur Maple in the back and the Pin Oak in the front. They are beautiful beautiful trees this time of year. I'm just amazed by the Clematis, aren't you? That wine colored one sounds amazing and so does the William Goodwin. I think I have enough of a sunny spot to add a couple (or three or four :-) alongside the garage here. I sure hope so!

Helen, I sure do agree with you about the fall blooming iris. Years ago I had some of the old fashioned deep purple fragrant ones that were fall bloomers and I could hardly belive iris could do that! I see there are several varieities available now that bloom twice a year. I can't recall the name of the one in the picture I posted, but I accidentally knocked a bud off yesterday and couldn't waste even that one, so it's sitting in a glass of water on my kitchen counter right now! Should be open in a day or so and I'll have a little reminder of the plant with me for a few days.

You do have quite a lot blooming so very late in the season. Also, everything looks so incredibly healthy for this time of year. My gardens are looking so tired. Thank you for sharing all the lovely photos.
