We didn't get much here in Aurora. I was out watering my plants that were in pots last night and a few in the ground.
I wish we would get about 3 inches of rain. The city is still on watering every other day.

Sorry to hear that, Stevi. The paper says that O'Hare recorded 1.35 inches yesterday. Guess we got lucky in Jefferson Park.

We got quite a bit of rain here in Brookfield..Thurs had a big storm then Fri, late at night, there was a downpour. I have a little ceramic frog that holds a tube which fills w/rain, but didn't put it out this year so I can't give a definate number, but I'd say we got 2"..We sure needed it..has anyone heard of more rain is on the way? Toni

What da ya mean "The Northwest side has been overlooked by storms the last couple of weeks"? I say except for that one last month, this is the VERY first decent rain we have since MARCH! Hooray!

In Naperville I recorded 3/8 inch. I surely hope we get some more this week-end. The top 3 inches of my garden are moist...after that, just dry dirt...
However, we did have to mow for the first time in a month!

Pitim - I agree with you, this was the first proper rain for us this month. Even my non-gardening husband appreciated it.. his local soccer field was nice and soft. :-)

Here's hoping for a good soak this weekend for all of our fellow drought sufferers!

We had a lovely 1.5" in Carol Stream! But i still needed to turn on the water last evening.

No more rain since last Saturday. :-( Not a drop. We need more.
