I start all my tomatos, peppers and eggplant from seed which doesn't leave a lot of space under my lights for annual flowers. I always start dichondra Silver Falls and black eyed susan vine for use in my pots though. Thompson and Morgan have a lot of unusual seeds, a bit on the spendy side though. Have fun choosing your seeds.

I have not done much seeding indoors, I don't have a good space for it, but when I started seeds in the greenhouse at school, I had pretty good luck with some of the trailing petunias...and they can be expensive to buy as seedlings in the spring (seeds can get expensive too I guess). If it were me, I think I would do a combination of things I know that I want and that start easy , then I would experiment with things that are hard to find in the greenhouses in spring. All my peppers and tomatoes come from "Totally Tomato" (they have a website) they have wonderful heirloom varieties from all over the world. "Seeds of Change" for the others.

Also- check out the exchange pages of GWers like yourself- many folks check out each others haves and wants and send to each other through the mail.
There are exchange forums as well where you can send seeds into the host- who will swap the lot around and send new back to you- and check out the offer in the wintersown areas!!
Send a few into the MN Winter Blues Seed Swap, and well will send new back to you as well!!
