Hi all, it's me, the newbie.

I received a beautiful weeping cherry tree for my 30th birthday. I wanted to mark the big event with a tree :-) My in-laws bought it for me and helped me plant it in mid-June. This, of course, was before we knew that this summer would be a little, um, DRY! I watered (what I thought) deeply, but in the last week or two the leaves have all turned brown and cripsy. I'm still watering the the hope that it's not completely dead. Is it? How do I know for sure?
