Sorry, my question is not clear. I will not be placing the seeds outside to germinate, rather in my house to grow until the outside soil warms up & frost is past. I realize the local greenhouses start early to plant but when? Is there a timetable for planting annual, perennial & veg.seeds? Thank you, Cleo

There is a website where you can plug in your last expected frost date and then can print out lists of what to plant each week during the winter/early spring in order to have the seedlings ready at the right time. I used it last year, but I can't seem to find it in my bookmarks.

I have a similar list of my own which I compiled last year while researching each seed I had intended to grow. I did find several sites that were very helpfull in knowing when to start the tender annuals and tropicals indoors- but it took a little figuring as I added the time/days to germinate with the time/days to transplant to come up with a rough number of days total- and then worked that number back from the frost date.
I used Tom Clothiers- The Seed Site, Gardenmakers.com germination guide and J L Hudsons seeds as the main sources for my info- I found those by searching google with the word germinate and the plant name.
I don't have a way to easily isolate my start date info to share with you- otherwise I would give you my list to help save you a few hours of searching- but the plus side is- you will learn sooo much in your search!
