Seeds to Start Indoors???

Posting here because the other topics don't seem to get much action... And, even after many yars of gardening, I am still new to it.

I am at the tail end of seed-starting for the year. I still have several packets of seeds that I have put off because their small size intimidates me. However, because we have such a short growing season in Chicago, I want to get the most bang for the season.

I have only really ever planted seeds indoors that are big enough to be handled, germintated in baggies and potted with my fingers. Some of the seeds I have left are just little fly-specks.

Which of these are worth starting indoors? Which should be sown directly into the ground outdoors? Any special instructions would also be helpful.

Shasta Daisy

Columbine

Cosmos

Pansy

Aubrieta

Aster

Alyssum

Nemophila

Lavendar (true)

Lupine

Basil

Dill

Oregano

Rosemary

Thanks!!
