I cant believe this weather . I planted 2 hardy Basjoo bananas outside this year and they both grew to 7 feet . Since this was my first year with them I didnt know how they would survive the winter . Well I took a look at them on Monday 1 /13 , and the one on the side of the house grew 4 inches . Well I should say it started to push the center leaf up that far . The other one is doing anything . By the way , I left 3 feet of the stalk on the plant and filled in 2 feet with leaves . Now the weather is back below freezing so we will see .Rick
