I hadn't heard about that. Thanks for letting us know. It may not be related, but I strongly suspect until we start taking care of the environment and stop destroying wildlife habitat, there'll be more and more stories like this.

That's so sad... I hope they figure out the culprit and something can be done about it! We had bats living in our backyard last summer and I enjoyed watching them zipping around at dusk catching their dinner.

Another natural gift that I've always taken for granted - I won't take them for granted any more, though. I can't imagine the numbers of mosquitos without bats - to say nothing of mosquito borne diseases. Leslie
