blanket flower

Hi

I have some blanket flowers. Lovely flowers but they don't come up straight. They tend to come up and the first part of the stems are horizontal and then come up vertical. Is there anyway to correct this and have them straighten up or come up straight.

I'm pretty vague about wildflowers, but it sounds like maybe too much water or not enough sun;
you might post on the Native Plants Forum.

Nope....that's just the way gallardia grows...if you don;'t like it...don't grow gallardia.

LOL, Linda, get up on the wrong side of the bed today?

Blanket flower growa wild along the roads here, & I never have noticed crooked stems.

Sorry you think I was being testy....but that is the way they grow...
If you are looking at them as wild flowers, you obviously never noticed the tumbled look to a clump.
I stopped planting them as they always look weedy to me.

Just look at it this way. If your biggest problem in life is your Galliardias ( Blanket Flowers) not coming up striaght you must be a happy guy .....maybe without knowing it.
