Oooh. I used to work at a dry cleaner and our stain removal guy was a magician. You may want to seek professional help from a good dry cleaning place. They have chemicals that I don't think are available to the public. Is it a sentimental item? If so, maybe dye it if it won't come out?

Berry stains set very rapidly so you need to move FAST!! Rinse the stain with cold water ASAP, then apply liquid laundry detergent and let sit for 20-30 minutes before washing. If the stain is persistent, spot treat with hydrogen peroxide or bleach (if fabric appropriate). Vinegar, lemon juice and denatured alcohol are also recommended.

It is a wonderful and amazing resource and can get you very rapid, virtually instant answers rather than relying on much slower response time gardening forums :-))

Good news. Thanks gals. I did act fast and rinse in cold water and used stain remover and club soda and elbow grease. That got me to a faded purple, but then I soaked it overnight in club soda and HOORAH! Clean as a whistle! gardengal, yeah I forget you really CAN google anything. Blonde moments steming from 2 days of less than 4 hours of sleep. I'm not sure why my post came up twice either.?? I did however find the urine response HILLARIOUS! So I'm glad I posted here just for that!
Oxyclean never worked well for me. Not sure why. Shout 'set-in stains' is my go to, but I was out. Anyway, all is well in the land of oz.
