Early this summer my 5 year old weeping cherry tree died suddenly. It had bloomed and leafed out, but within a weeks time, wilted. Now it is completely dried up and branches are brittle. The only thing that has changed is that I put 2 tree fertlizer spikes around it in the early spring. No evidence of voles, but I haven't pulled the tree up yet. Did I kill it? Any thoughts?
