I am new to this.What actually goes on at these events?

Is it free and how about directions,I am in Hamilton Square NJ.

I sent them a soil sample about three weeks ago and waiting anxiously for results? Is this a typical time frame for getting results for a basic sample?

The plant fair is a free event. They do have classes going on that day some are free, some aren't. Very knowledgeable people there to help you with your choice of plants. They have veggies, annnuals, perennial, shrubs, trees, you name it for sale. They take cash, checks, and credit cards. Get there early and bring a wagon with you. Check out the directions and the rest of the web site. BTW I haven't had a chance to answer you about your windowboxes but hopefully I will get to it before the week is out.

This is different than Ag day. I should check it out I've never been to Ag day. Where is that one?

Ag Day is now called 'Rutgers Day' - link below.
Otherwise it is the same. April 25, besides the plant sale, many activities esp for children.

For folks who have been to this before- do you think there will be anything good left on Sunday or does it all sell out pretty fast?

I can't make it until Sunday, and would hate to waste my time.

I'm particularly looking for tomatoes - I want to grow the rutger's type, red grape tomatoes, some kind of orange or yellow grape tomatoes, and something else- maybe some fancy heirloom purple or something? No idea...just want to get neat tomatoes.

To be honest, I've never been there on Sunday. I always go first thing Saturday morning. Someday I'm going to get the nerve up to play hookey from work on Friday and see what they have on the first day LOL!
