HA! Two weeks ago we called the tree man to give us an estimate on cutting down the dead tree in front of our house. He said "It's not dead, it's an Ash and they are late to leaf out." Didn't we feel silly.

It's got plenty of leaves on it now and we are in Sussex.

I had the same situation.

I had the tree man out to take out some Norway Maples yesterday and I asked him how much to take the tree out.

He said to wait a few weeks, because he thought it was an ash.
I'm pretty sure though that it didn't leaf out last year either.

You would figure that if you have leaves in Sussex I would at least see buds in Morris, although the lowest branches are at least 20 feet up.
