fall transplanting

I have had a flower bed for 2 years now. I would like to move 3 small goldflame spireas and 2 stello de oro daylilies to a new spot in the same bed. I know I can do it in the spring but I just can't wait! After this heat breaks and hopefully some rain, can I move these this fall (maybe end of September) or should I just be patient and wait for spring?
