I'm partial to Rare Find Nursery in Jackson. Conrad Smith in Tinton Falls has been around for a long time, so I assume they're doing something right. I'm sure you'll get more recommendations.

I saw your post in the Landscape Design forum - have you decided on a tree yet, or still looking? If you're still looking for information, Rutgers put out a booklet a while ago titled "50 Small Trees for the Home Landscape" - great publication. If you'd like a copy, let me know and I'll provide contact information.

There's Brocks Farms, too. They are located both in Freehold and Colts Neck.

Is there any particular tree you are looking for?

There is a nursery in Howell, at the corner of Five Points Road and Route 33, that sells a huge assortment of landscaping trees, but I can't think of the name right now.

JMJ Farm in Howell Twp. has a huge selection and always looks healthy. Located on either Oak Glen or Lakewood-Allenwood Road, I can never remember which it is but you can google it.

In addition to the above mentioned nurseries, Barlow Flower Farm now has trees and shrubs as well as Sikles in Little Silver. The nursery in Howell mentioned above is Landex nursery and around the corner in Howell also is Mikes nursery on Meric Road. JMJ is on Lakewood Allenwood road.

Second vote for Rare Find Nursery, especially since I believe their big "Dog Days of August" sale may still be going on. . .

While not a fan of Brock Farms (for reasons which shouldn't
deter you from looking!), the Freehold location in particular has a VAST selection of trees - they, too, have
always had an end-of-summer sale.

While Landex Nursery does have an enormous inventory, I find some of their merchandise in a questionable state -
and service is definitely NOT their strength.

Gasko's Family Farm (outside Englishtown), while famous for
their bedding plants and seasonal merchandise, DOES carry
a fair number of trees - I'd call first, if you have a
specific tree in mind.

If you'll post a SPECIFIC tree you're looking for, I might
be able to lead you to a nursery just beyond Monmouth County that carries it, since I purchase stock from all over the state.
