moved into property where the previous owner ignored the lawn and most of my lawn is weeds of all variety.

I have not been able to control the weeds occupying my lawn. This is what I have tried

1. mow lawn at highest setting
2. done weed and feed from local garden supply, not big box, store. did nothing
3. done weed b gone, no effect
4. did ringers fertilizer and that seems to have doubled the weeds

what can i use to control and get rid of the weeds this summer
