I don't have an answer for you. In fact, I have basically the same question. I just went out to 3 garden centers and HD to buy seeds and no one sells seeds now. I thought I could plant lettuce, carrots, arugula, etc and harvest the start of October.

My zuchinni's died after producing tons of zukes and now I have a big spot open.

I do have some seeds. I think the thing to do is to plant now and see what happens.

You can probably get seeds mail order now.

btw, I ordered my seeds for next year online.. they just arrived today. I wanted to buy seeds last weekend, but the kind folks at an agway told me that stores return their un-bought seeds the last week of July.
